IP ratings defined

IP Ratings Often when looking at various LED products, you will see will usually see references made to IP ratings. All items can be classed with an IP rating. Quite simply, the first numeral denotes the level of protection against dust/solids, and the second number denotes the level of protection against liquids. For interior use, generally IP20 is sufficient assuming it is in a dry area with little to no serious humidity.
